Justin Bieber has shocked fans with his new 'mature' haircut after having his trademark 'Bieber bob' cut off.

This morning the 16-year-old teased his fan, tweeting the message: 'Thinking about getting a haircut....hmmmmmm.'

Soon after he revealed his cut on TMZ Live while on the set of a new music video he i doing in collaboration with American band Rascal Flatts.

Lead vocalist Gary LeVox is seen in the stills tending to Bieber's newly shorn locks.
However the pint-sized singer revealed that the new style was in fact the handiwork of his regular hairdresser Vanessa.

He admitted to being a little nervous about the cut, but concluded he 'wanted to change it up' adding that his new chop was 'kind of mature'.

The Canadian star's 'Bieber Bob', as it was dubbed, became Justin's signature style during his rise to fame over the last year.

In an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres show last year he revealed it took him five minutes to style.

He told the host: 'I get out of the shower, I blow dry it and I shake it out. It takes five minutes.'

Last night Justin was picture chatting to various celebs at the NBA All-Star game, including Rihanna who performed during half-time.
