Stay classy: The Only Way Is Essex girls go mud wrestling at boot camp

Down and dirty: The Only Way Is Essex girls Lucy Mecklenburgh and Lydia Bright were joined by two friends as they enjoyed a day wrestling in the mud at bootcamp

With just days until the second series of The Only Way Is Essex returns to our screens the characters are no doubt topping up their tans, primping their hair and ensuring their vajazzles are firmly in place.

But it seems two stars of the show tried out a novel way of getting into shape for the second round of cat-flights, tears and tantrums embarking on a grueling fitness boot camp – in true Essex style, of course.

Mark Wright’s former flame Lucy Mecklenburgh was joined by Arg’s girlfriend Lydia Bright and the girls weren’t going to let the muddy training getting in the way of looking their best and found enough energy to enjoy an impromptu mud-wrestling match.

The pair were joined by two friends who were also sporting a full face of make-up and blow dried hair for the outdoor activities.

With their hair flowing behind them the girls ran down to the beach to begin their session carrying small weighted balls.

That in itself must have been a tough task for the girls who are more used to lifting boutique shopping bags than weights.

Taking things slow: The girls made their way down to the beach in bright pink jumper before stripping off to reveal their work out wardrobe of tiny black vests

And the girls ditched their designer dresses and high heels for black exercise leggings and a low cut black vest, but didn’t opt for sports bras for the strenuous activities.

The girls did show willing and performed a number of exercises including a girl-style press up which displayed their ample cleavage and a wide-legged squat on the sand.

The girls then crawled through the mud and while they seemed to be exhausted at the activity seemed to be in good spirits, even when the trainer flicked mud across their made-up faces.

And perhaps aware of the cameras on them, or maybe just fans of mud-wrestling Lydia challenged Lucia to a bout and the pair got the grips with each other in the dirt.

Always ready to oblige a waiting photographer the girls got together for a group shot.

Down and dirty: Mark Wright's ex Lucy couldn't wait to get her hands on Arg's girlfriend Lucy didn't seem to mind getting dirty as they played in the mud together

Lucy, who is a size eight and weights nine stone has revealed how all the cast members have been putting in extra effort getting into shape for the new series.
She told New! Magazine: ‘Everyone’s gone a bit hardcore trying to lose weight for the next series.’

The 20-year-old credits her own trim figure to zumba classes and poledancing
The Only Way Is Essex returns March 20th on ITV2 at 10pm

Vejazzles at dawn: Lucy and Lydia soon made the most of their time in the mud and got to grips with each other

Mucky pups: The girls, who had arrived at the training session with full faces of make-up and blow dried hair were soon covered in mud after rolling around on the floor

Pregnant Jessica was happy for Honor to steal the limelight and kept her look casual in earthy tones.

'We're still in shock': Victoria Beckham IS expecting a little Spice Girl, David confirms

It's a girl! David Beckham confirmed today that wife Victoria is indeed expecting their first daughter

Speculation has been mounting for weeks that a baby Spice Girl is on the way, and the secret is finally out.

David Beckham confirmed at an LA Galaxy luncheon this afternoon the news that wife Victoria is expecting their first daughter.

'Obviously, we're very lucky to be expecting again, and this is the first time I'm going to say it: It's a little girl,' the Galaxy midfielder said.

'We're still in shock. Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon.'

Speaking at the team's annual fan luncheon in ESPN Zone at L.A. Live, he added: 'Our three boys are happy and excited, and Victoria is doing well.'

The couple, who have three sons, have up until now refused to comment on speculation surrounding the sex of their unborn baby.

Growing brood: Victoria and David already have three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz

Last night, a friend confirmed: ‘Victoria and David are expecting a daughter, as you can imagine they are over the moon.

‘The entire family is so excited.’

While visiting a Los Angeles children's hospital this week, David, 35, told reporters: 'She's great, she's very healthy. She's feeling good. She's in London at the moment working.

'We're very excited. It's an exciting time for the family.'

'Exciting time': David, pictured earlier this week, confirmed the news at an LA Galaxy press conference today

The ever-stylish Mrs Beckham, 36, showed off her bump as she flew into London this week – still wearing her five-and-a-half inch heel boots.

She plans to give birth near her home in Los Angeles in July and the friend added: ‘David was too excited not to be able to spill the beans.

‘At first they were not going to find out, with three boys Victoria was convinced she would have another one – and that was fine. But they gave in and they’ve known the news for some weeks now.

'Now, they just can't wait to meet her, they just want to make sure she's born healthy.'

Happy news: David said of his wife this week, 'She's great, she's very healthy. She's feeling good'

The Beckham boys, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, five, are also said to be 'overjoyed' about the arrival of a sister.

Beckham admitted recently he would love a girl, explaining: 'I'd love a little girl. We’re blessed to have three beautiful boys already, and if we’re blessed to have another one or two children, that would be amazing.

'Three boys is difficult at times, but there’s nothing that gives you that feeling of coming home and seeing the kids and spending time with them.

'There's nothing better in the world than that. If you’re a parent, then you realise that feeling.'

Smiling Kelly Brook enjoys afternoon sunshine stroll with Thom

Not your best look! A frumpy-looking Kelly Brook enjoyed a stroll in Brentwood with beau Thom Evans and the pair were looking close

They haven't been spotted together in nearly a month but by the looks of things they seem to be happier than ever.

Kelly Brook was spotted with beau Thom Evans as the pair enjoyed a stroll together in Brentwood, California.

The model was all smiles as she and the 25-year-old aspiring actor hit the streets to enjoy the afternoon sunshine.

The 31-year-old model, who sizzled in a recent shoot showing off her latest swimwear range for New Look, stepped out in a cream baggy top, skinny jeans and a pair of brown buckled boots.

And while the model attempted to tuck in her top but the 1970’s style blouse didn't do much for her enviable shape.

The pretty model stepped out without any makeup as she enjoyed the afternoon sunshine with her man.

Unwise outfit: The baggy top made Kelly look larger than she is and although she tried to tuck it in it hung out from her jeans

And judging from their body language things look to be going swimmingly between the pair.

The couple were seen smiling and joking together and walked arm-in-arm as they enjoyed a stroll along the streets.

Thom, 25, was forced to retire from professional rugby but giving up the sport has meant he is able to follow Kelly around the world.

Dressed down: Kelly has been sporting a more covered up look of late and has ditched her make-up recently opting for a fresh-faced look

Last month he moved out to America to try his hand at acting, a move which allows him to spend more time with his model.

And Kelly has been working hard in L.A. and earlier in the week she took part in a photoshoot for Reebok in Venice Beach.

But while she glammed up for the photo shoot she has certainly been sporting a much more natural look of late, going makeup free showing off her natural beauty.

Kelly, who is no stranger to ditching her clothes, will be counting down the Hollywood A-listers who have dared to bare all on-screen.

Kelly presents Celebrity Naked Ambition on Channel 4 on Saturday at 9pm.

Hawaii braced for killer tsunami tidal waves after enormous earthquake strikes off the coast of Japan

Rush: Residents in Hawaii hit the supermarkets in pani buying sprees as they prepare for the imminent tsunami waves caused by a massive earthquake off the coast of Japan this morning

4.5 magnitude earthquake strikes Hawaii ahead of waves

First waves expected to hit island at 3am local time

Warning issued for North American coast from California to Alaska

Panic buying at supermarkets and fuel stations

Tsunami waves could submerge low lying islands including Guam

Hawaii was put on 'red alert' today as the enormous earthquake that struck off the coast of Japan was expected to cause tsunamis across the Pacific Ocean.

The 8.9 magnitude quake has devastated Japan after it struck off its north eastern coast this morning and sent 30ft high waves sweeping through the city.

Repercussions of the quake are expected to hit Hawaii today at around 3am local time as powerful tidal waves rip through the ocean.

Thousands of residents have been evacuated from low-lying coastal areas in Hawaii and Guam that could be obliterated by waves that are higher than them.

Urgent: Workers in the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre put Hawaii on warning as they track the tsunami waves that have devastated Japan today

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii has widened its tsunami warning to include Hawaii and the rest of the Pacific Ocean.

Warning were issued yesterday at 9:31 p.m. HST. Sirens were sounded shortly afterward in Honolulu alerting people in coastal areas to evacuate. The first waves were expected to arrive at 2:55 a.m. HST Friday.

Similar warnings were issued for states on the entire west coast of America that join the Pacific ocean.

States stretching from California to Alaska have been warned that they could be hit by the tsunami waves that are gathering pace through the ocean.

The United States' National Weather Service (NOAA) issued the Tsunami warning earlier today following Japan's devastating earthquake.

'A Tsunami has been generated which is expected to cause damage,' NOAA said in its latest alert, published at 1:35 am PST (0535 GMT).

'Persons in Tsunami warning coastal areas should move inland to higher ground,' NOAA said.

The warnings affect coastal areas in the US states of Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon and California.

'Tsunami warnings mean that a Tsunami with significant widespread inundation is imminent or expected ... Widespread dangerous coastal flooding accompanied by powerful currents is possible and may continue for several hours after the initial wave arrival,' NOAA said.

The warnings also include Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Central and South America. The coast of North America is not included in the warning.

Tsunami warnings are issued due to the imminent threat of a tsunami. Huge tidal waves could devastate the island which lacks some of the infrastructure to cope with major natural disasters.

Last night, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck Hawaii as aftershocks and tremors from the quake that hit Japan reverberated around the world.

Spinning: A menacing whirlpool rages near a port in Oarai, Japan, following the earthquake

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages from the quake that hit the Big Island about 30 miles southeast of Hilo just before 11 pm yesterday (0900 GMT Friday).

The first waves from the tsunami were expected to hit about 3 am Friday (1300 GMT).
In Hawaii, hundreds of terrified residents were panic buying today as they braced themselves for the waves to strike.

People stocked up on vital supplies such as food and water while drivers filled their cars with petrol in case they needed to out-run the waves in their cars, as happened in Japan.

In Japan, the powerful quake sent ten-metre waves surging inland and caused fires in Tokyo. AT least 36 people are so far feared dead in the country but the death toll could rise.

Before the storm: A driver fills up her tank as concerned residents in Hawaii brace themselves for potentially cataclysmic waves expected to hit the country today

Hawaii and the many other low lying islands around the state will be braced for similar destruction when the waves hit later today.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies warned that the tsunami is currently higher than some Pacific islands which it could wash over.

Chip McCreary, a tsunami warning centre director, said tsunami waves have the potential to swamp coastal areas of all Hawaii's islands.

'What these waves look like is an elevation of sea level, where the sea level will rise above its normal level and stay high for 10 or 15 minutes before it starts to recede,' he said.

'As a result of this, in a tsunami wave, that water can flood the coast line and be a hazard to people and buildings on the coast.'

The warnings cover an area stretching the entire western coast of the United States and Canada from the Mexican border to Chignik Bay in Alaska. In Alaska, a dozen small communities along the Aleutian Island chain were on alert.

Gridlock: A traffic jam stretches for several blocks as people queue for fuel and vital supplies in Hawaii

Leaving: Hotel guests from the Moana Surfrider hotel in Honolulu cling to their possessions after being evacuated in the early hours of the morning

'Everyone in that area knows, when you feel it, move - don't wait for a siren,' said John Madden, director of the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. The largest affected town is Unalaska, population about 4,000.

Residents in coastal areas across the Pacific from Hawaii to Guam were ordered to evacuate to shelters and higher ground.

In Hawaii's tourist district of Waikiki, visitors were being moved to higher floors of their hotels. Meanwhile, residents were waiting in long queues stocking up on petrol, bottled water, canned food and generators.

'We're preparing for the worst and we're praying for the best,' said a spokesman for the Honolulu Department of Emergency Management.

'Tsunami waves, because of their long length, they wrap around our islands very efficiently,' he said.

Waves: Tsunami waters flood the streets in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, after the 8.9 quake struck this morning

Powerful: Terrified shoppers at a bookstore in Sendai, northern Japan run for cover as the quake shakes buildings

Disaster: Ships are capsized by the killer waves that struck the port of Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture today

Readings have come in from deep ocean gauges deployed since the 2004 tsunami in Banda Acha in Japan and around Wake Island.

The Northern Mariana Islands, another U.S. territory, was also under the warning, and the Hyatt Regency in Saipan has moved guests to three highest floors of the seven-story hotel.

Hotel spokesman Luis Villagomez said the hotel had received about three tsunami warnings in the last year but no serious damage.

Tsunami warnings are issued due to the imminent threat of a tsunami.

The quake struck at 2.46pm local time and was followed by five powerful aftershocks within about an hour, the strongest measuring 7.1.

The US Geological Survey upgraded the strength of the first quake to a magnitude 8.9, while Japan's meteorological agency measured it at 8.4.

The meteorological agency issued a tsunami warning for the entire Pacific coast of Japan. NHK was warning those near the coast to get to safer ground.

The quake struck at a depth of six miles (10km), about 80 miles (125km) off the eastern coast, the agency said. The area is 240 miles (380km) north-east of Tokyo.

Taiwan's coast guard has begun evacuating its east coast, which is not heavily populated. Waves about 50 cm high are expected to reach the island's north and east coasts later on Friday, its central weather bureau said.

Hawaii's civil defence agency ordered all coastal areas, including the main tourist hub Honolulu, evacuated by 2 am local time (1200 GMT). The quake is due to hit at 3am.

Waves were expected to hit the Pacific island of Guam, 1,500 miles south of Japan, at 7 pm local time (1100 GMT).

Beaches had been cleared there, and hotels were moving guests to rooms on higher floors, while in the nearby Northern Mariana Islands, all residents were ordered to evacuate to higher grounds.

Ocean waves up to 6 feet (2 meters) above normal sea level were detected by deep-ocean gauges near Wake island, Midway and Guam in the North Pacific, said Chip McCreary, a spokesman for the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre.

Papua New Guinea has issued a tsunami watch for its northern provinces effective at 9 pm local time (1100 GMT).

'By the time it reaches our shores, the wave will be between half a metre and one metre high,' said Andrew Oaego, officer in charge of operations at the National Disaster Centre in Port Moresby.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel split up after 'very awkward surprise birthday party'

By Daily Mail Reporter

Picture perfect: Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel pictured at the Vanity Fair party in February

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have have separated after more than four years together.

And MailOnline has learnt exclusively that the couple's separation comes following a very awkward birthday party.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed the break-up, adding: 'We are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways.’

The news comes after The A-Team actress threw an intimate surprise party for The Social Network star and made a gushing speech in front of guests that appeared to embarrass Justin.

Rumours were beginning to circulate that things were not great between the couple when the singer turned up to last month's Academy Awards with his mother, not Jessica.

Further cracks had started to show in the relationship earlier that month when Jessica threw the party for Justin at his home at the beginning of the year.

Loved up: The couple get cosy at an LA Lakers game in April 2009

A source told MailOnline Jessica was overcome with emotion when she stood up to toast her boyfriend on reaching the milestone.

She quickly welled-up as she reminisced about the first time she met Justin and joked about how she virtually stalked him into going on a date with her.

The pair had exchanged numbers on a night out in 2007, but when Justin failed to call Jessica a few days later, she took matters into her own hands and began driving towards his house.

Surprise party: Justin's luxury Mullholland Drive home where Jessica Biel threw him a surprise 30th birthday party last month

She said that before she knew it, she was outside his house and he still hadn’t called her. She joked about how she felt like a stalker, but that thankfully he did eventually call and the rest was history.

During the birthday speech, the actress gushed about how utterly head over heels in love she was with the singer-turned-actor and went on at length about how much he meant to her.

But after Jessica had finished her speech, Justin appeared dismiss her emotional speech by standing up and yelling: ‘Yeah b*tches!’

'It was really awkward,' the source told MailOnline. 'Justin's reaction was almost disrespectful. He just laughed it off.'

Mother of all guests: Justin with his mum Lynn Harless at the Oscars this year

They added: ‘The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other.’

The pair had temporarily split up a few months earlier in November of last year following rumours that Justin had allegedly cheated on Jessica.

Today's news is said to be Justin’s decision and sources say the actress is simply ‘devastated’.

But MSNBC are reporting that a reliable source has told them Jessica is far from devastated.

Backing Jessica up, the source has revealed: ‘Jessica is not devastated, that's just cr*p.’

They added: ‘She's a very independent, proud woman with her own career, she's fine.’

America Idol's Ashthon Jones is first to be sent packing as 'stressed out' Casey Abrams fails to show due to hospital dash

Time to go home: Ashthon Jones is comforted by American Idol host Ryan Seacrest after being voted off

It turned out that axed contestant Ashthon Jones's was not the only casualty of American Idol last night.

The 25-year-old hopeful was sent packing in last night's results show as it emerged that fellow contestant Casey Abrams was unable to attend the show due to a hospital dash.

According to internet reports, 20-year-old Casey, from Illinois, needed to medical treatment for a stress-induced bleeding stomach ulcer.

He suffered a similar set back a few weeks ago just before the Top 24 was revealed.
Host Ryan Seacret was scant with details, only revealing he was in hospital and wished him to 'get back here soon'.

But the show must go on, so it was left to the remaining 12 to perform a cover of Michael Jackson hits.

Awaiting their fate: Ashthon waits with Karen Rodriguez and Haley Reinhart to find out who's going home

Too much to handle: Ashthon and Haley comfort each other as they wait for the judges' decision

The performance was somewhat sketchy, however, with pre-recorded vocals and some poor examples of lip syncing.

But it wasn't long before the cohort of finalists was cut down to size with Haley Reinhart and Karen Rodriguez joining Ashthon in the bottom three.

Later in the show Ryan sends Karen to safety, before revealing Ashthon, who sang Diana Ross' When You Tell Me That You Love Me in Wednesday night's show, has the least number of public votes.

Hospital dash: Casey Abrams, seen here performing in Wednesday night's programme, was unable to make the results show due to a 'stress-induced stomach ulcer', according to reports

Early indications show around 30million votes were cast by the public.

After performing When You Tell Me That You Love Me, the judges vote unanimously to eliminate Ashthon and decided not to use their 'save' vote.

The save card was brought in recently and allows all four judges to save one contestant from being eliminated.

Judgement time: American Idol judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson sit on the panel

Teary-eyed: Jennifer appeared to be finding it difficult to decide which of the contestants go home

It can be used up until the top five contestants are eliminated and only once.

It has to be an unanimous decision and once used up it cannot be brought into effect again for the rest of the season.

Last night's result show also featured a performance from former American Idol winner Adam Lambert.

Swan song: Ashthon performs for the final time as she's watched by the rest of the American Idol contestants

Sad to see her go: The remaining contestants applaud after Ashthon's emotional final performance

In the the first of the studio shows of the season on Wednesday, the contestants had just a minute and a half to try and persuade America to vote for them - but even that was too long for some.

The 'live' America Idol show - recorded a day early to allow the new judges time to settle in - didn't go well for everyone, with lacklustre performances and dull song choices slowing things down.

The boys were more on form, with Paul McDonald, Casey Abrams, Jacob Lusk and James Durbin all exciting the judges.

Who are you backing? Amanada also attended the contestants performances and chatted to Seacrest

Of the girls Pia Toscano lived up to last week's stunning performance, but many of her fellow females failed to deliver.

Naima Adedapo at least had some energy as she offered up an imitation of Rihanna, but Karen Rodriguez struggled to do justice to her choice of Selena's I Could Fall in Love and Haley Reinhart was simply labelled 'boring' by Randy Jackson.

The finalists had paid tribute to their own Idols as they performed songs by their very favourite artists.

Famous faces: P Diddy performed his track Coming Home on the programme last night
